Rudding Park Wedding Photographer| Adam & Emily’s Harrogate Wedding
People often say love is like a recipe.
Normally I’d roll my eyes… but when one half of the couple is Adam Degg from The Great British Menu, I’ll let it slide this once.
Adam and Emily tied the knot on 9th March at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, and it was exactly what you want from a Rudding Park wedding, relaxed, full of personality, and done properly. No fuss. No faff. Just a cracking day.
A Relaxed Rudding Park Hotel Wedding in Harrogate
Rudding Park is one of those venues that just works. It looks good in any season, runs like clockwork, and still feels warm and welcoming, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day.
From the minute I arrived, the vibe was spot on. Happy guests, no rushing about, and a couple who were clearly just excited to get married rather than worrying about the small stuff.
The Chapel Ceremony at Rudding Park Hotel
The ceremony took place in the beautiful chapel within the grounds of Rudding Park Hotel, and it struck the perfect balance between traditional and personal.
One of the standout moments came courtesy of their brilliant little son, Jacob, who made a special appearance and completely stole the show. Effortless. No rehearsal needed.
Then, just when everyone thought the ceremony was wrapping up nicely, the chapel doors burst open and in marched Back Chat Brass. Without warning, they launched straight into Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Confetti followed. Big smiles everywhere. Absolute scenes.
If you’re going to make an exit, you might as well do it properly.
A Wedding Full of Personality
After the ceremony, guests spilled out into the grounds of Rudding Park, still grinning from the surprise brass band moment. There was laughter, hugs, and the kind of atmosphere you only get when everyone’s genuinely enjoying themselves.
As a Rudding Park wedding photographer, these are the moments I’m always watching for, real reactions, real connections, and none of that awkward “stand there and smile” nonsense.
Food, Speeches and a Proper Celebration at Rudding Park
Guests were treated to a proper feast back inside Rudding Park Hotel. No pressure on Adam at all, obviously… being a top-level chef and all. Nobody judging. Definitely not.
The afternoon flew by with speeches that were equal parts heartfelt and hilarious, always the best combination. And the cake? That was a masterpiece in its own right, made by Emily’s mum, proving there’s more than one talented cook in the family.
Evening Dancing and Family Moments
As the evening rolled in, the dance floor filled up quickly. Adam and Emily shared their first dance surrounded by friends and family, and it was exactly how it should be — relaxed, fun and completely them.
No overthinking. No performance. Just a proper celebration.
Natural Wedding Photography at Rudding Park Hotel
As the night drew to a close, Adam, Emily and Jacob wrapped up the day the same way they started it — smiling, relaxed and surrounded by people who clearly adore them.
Photographing this Rudding Park Hotel wedding was an absolute joy. A brilliant venue, a brilliant family, and a reminder of why I love being a Rudding Park photographer and Harrogate wedding photographer.
