Nic and Jack’s rainy, bank holiday weekend wedding at The Faversham Leeds

Some weddings are elegant. Some weddings are emotional. Some weddings are insta perfect little masterpieces. And then there are weddings like Nic and Jack’s.

A full-blown, joy-soaked, booze fuelled PARTY from start to finish.

These two had both done the whole wedding thing before, which honestly made this day even better. There was no pressure, no ticking boxes, no awkward traditions for the sake of it. They knew exactly what they wanted from this wedding to get all their favourite people together, have an amazing day, and absolutely send it on the dancefloor.

Now, did the weather cooperate?  Absolutely not. It was after all Bank holiday weekend in the UK.

It rained all day. Not in a cute, romantic film drizzle kind of way either. Proper Yorkshire “hope your shoes are waterproof” rain.

This is exactly why choosing the right venue matters, because The Faversham Leeds absolutely came through.

Why is The Faversham Is Such a Cracking Wedding Venue?

It has loads of character, loads of atmosphere, and, crucially for Britain, loads of brilliant indoor spaces.

So while the weather outside was doing its absolute worst, inside we had warm light, cool backdrops, cosy corners, stylish interiors, and endless little pockets for amazing photos.

Honestly, rainy wedding days can actually be a bit magic when couples fully lean into it, and Nic and Jack absolutely did. Just good vibes and another round at the bar.

The Vibe was zero fuss, maximum fun

One of my favourite things about this wedding was how relaxed everything felt.

Nobody was trying to perform the “perfect wedding.”

Nic and Jack had already done the big traditional thing before, so this time they stripped it right back to what actually mattered to them, good food, good people, loads of laughs, and one hell of a party.

There’s something very freeing about weddings like this.

The whole day felt genuinely personal. Less “formal event” and more “best night out you’ve ever had with everyone you love in one room.”

A little rain was never going to stop me.

In fact, some of my favourite images from the day happened because we had to get creative indoors. The Faversham has so many textures and interesting spaces that every corner felt like a new backdrop.

Moody window light? Lovely. Cosy cocktail-bar energy? Perfect. Chaotic dancefloor scenes later in the evening? Elite.

And because everyone was fully committed to having a good time regardless of the weather, the atmosphere in the photos is unreal.

That’s the thing people forget sometimes: nobody remembers whether it rained.

They remember how the day felt.

And this one felt BIG.

Now let’s discuss the dancefloor.

Because WOW.

From the first song, this crowd understood the assignment.

Bow tie's disappeared. Shoes got abandoned. Drinks were flying around. At one point I’m fairly certain I witnessed an entire friendship group attempting choreography they definitely had not rehearsed beforehand.

Exactly what weddings should be.

Nic and Jack spent the whole evening laughing, hugging people, throwing shapes on the dancefloor and generally looking ridiculously happy.

No standing awkwardly at the side.

No worrying about timelines.

Just fully living the day they’d planned.

Nic and Jack’s wedding at The Faversham Leeds was proof that weddings don’t need perfect weather or loads of tradition to be incredible.

You just need the right people, the right atmosphere, and a couple who know exactly what matters to them.

And for these two, that was celebrating properly.

Rain and all, it was an absolute belter.

Massive congratulations again to Nic and Jack, thanks for trusting me to capture your gloriously chaotic, beautifully rainy, party first wedding day.

I’d do it all again tomorrow.
