Stephen and Hannah - Camblesforth Hall and Grange wedding
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and if that’s true, Hannah & Stephen are set for a lifetime of joy. On the 19th of July, under a sky that never quite cleared, they tied the knot at the stunningly beautiful Camblesforth Hall & Grange, proving that love and laughter shine through, whatever the weather.
The rain may have danced across the rooftops all day, but it only added to the charm of this intimate celebration. With umbrellas in hand and smiles all around, guests arrived to the warm welcome of the Grange Barn, its rustic beams, twinkle lights, and soft florals creating a cosy, romantic backdrop for the ceremony. Stephens daughter walked down the aisle followed by Hannah and her dad to a gentle soundtrack of rain on the roof, and Stephen’s face said it all.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered inside for drinks in the bar overlooking the courtyard. The hall’s historic interiors offered a perfect haven from the weather, and the couple embraced every moment with ease. I set up some lights and gathered people in the ceremony barn for some group shots, then went on to capture spontaneous moments as the guests dashed through the drizzle huddled together.
The wedding breakfast brought warmth and connection, with heartfelt speeches, a relaxed feast, and an atmosphere that felt like one big family dinner. Styled with natural flowers, soft scented candlelight and thoughtful touches, the space was transformed into a haven of celebration.
As evening fell, the rain let up in time for Hannah's dad to reveal his surprise in the form of his Lambretta scooter decorated in Leeds United Colours, perfect for any Leeds wedding photographer. A quick group shot and some couple shots in front of the magnificent house it was time to get the party started. A live band playing indoors, Hannah & Stephen shared their first dance as friends and family crowded around, and followed this with an Oasis number for the father/daughter dance.
Rain might have changed the plans, but it never dampened the spirit. Camblesforth Hall & Grange wrapped this day in character and comfort, and Hannah & Stephen embraced it all with the kind of grace and joy that made the day truly unforgettable.
