Tom & Abbie’s Unforgettable Wedding Day at Thorpe Park Hotel, Leeds
Tom and Abbie’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love; it was a tribute to the beautiful family they've built together and also not forgetting, Tom's passion for Leeds United. Surrounded by friends, family, and their two sons, Chester and Arthur, the day was filled with the emotion, laughter and an energy that made it truly one-of-a-kind.
The venue
The couple chose the fabulous venue of Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa, Leeds. White flowers adorned the ceremony aisle and everyone from Bridesmaids to page boys and guests wore the colour blue or yellow. Chester and Arthur were two of the stars of the day, walking down the aisle in their little suits, complete with mini waistcoats for the occasion.
The Ceremony: A Love United
The ceremony itself at Thorpe Park Hotel was heartfelt and intimate. As Tom and Abbie exchanged vows there wasn't a dry eye in the room, and that included myself.
When they were pronounced husband and wife, the cheers weren’t just for the happy couple—they were for Chester and Arthur too. Blue & White Confetti was thrown from all angles on the terrace at the read of Thorpe Park Hotel, to celebrate the union of just the sweetest couple.
The couple then went on to celebrate further in gardens at the rear of Thorpe Park Hotel with the help of some blue & yellow smoke bombs. These were personally chose by the Groom himself, to reflect his love of Leeds United.
The reception was full of emotion, joy & fun with a standing ovation for the bestman's speech. Some people had the audacity to suggest this was staged for the photos, but I couldn't possibly comment........
After everyone enjoyed the sumptuous 3 course meal provided by the couple, it was onto cutting the cake and rejoicing in their first dance together as Mr & Mrs Ellis. This soon became a family affair with Chester & Arthur joining them on the dance floor.
The dance floor at Thorpe Park Hotel, soon became full with friends and family and was one of the fullest and chaotic dance floors I have ever seen with everyone up, including me. The night was only interrupted by a quick saunter outside with sparklers in hand to again, celebrate the union of this fabulous couple.
It was an absolute privelege to capture this day at the wonderful Thorpe Park Hotel and as the new family of four embarks on their next chapter, one thing’s for sure—they’ll always be marching on together.
